Deanna brings a warm authority to your corporate videos. Her friendly and informative tone creates trust and authenticity, and her energy makes sure your audience stays engaged.
I know Deanna Cooney’s work from two series I have been involved in.
The first was when I was Commissioning Editor for the ABC Factual/Documentaries department. Deanna was the narrator of the documentary series Flying Miners made by Screentime. Her voice was perfect for the series and showed she was able to do an intelligent stripped back read.
The second was in my capacity of Series Producer/Writer for the second series of Struggle Street for SBS. In this instance I directed her narration in the record.
I was exceptionally impressed with her versatility. From doing big picture authoritative statistic driven narration, to reads that required lightness of touch to bring out the humour and, crucially, reads that required subtle empathy.
Not only that, she was an absolute pleasure to work with. Nothing was too much trouble, she listened to direction and invariably nailed what I wanted straight off.
An absolute star.
